Bruce has over 30 years of experience as an advocate for Ward 8. He is a Job Corps trainer, a DC historian and a lifetime user of Anacostia Park. His goal is to help collect and tell the valuable history of the park, the community, and the river. “For generations, my family used Anacostia Park. This work allows me to share my history of the park—as well as engage visitors in activities I did growing up in the park. I have especially enjoyed teaching people to fish.”
