NatureFest Spring Break
NatureFest is a week-long event during DCPS spring break, providing a safe space for youth ages 5 - 12 and their families to connect with nature and each other. Each day offers a variety of activities including boat rides on the River, live animals, arts and crafts, skating, and more! Families, youth day camps and recreation centers are welcome to register. (Youth must be joined by a chaperone throughout the duration of the event.)

Super Friends Saturday
Join us for our last Super Friends Saturday of the season on March 29 at Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion from 12 to 4 PM! It will be a great day to get outside. Skate, sing your heart out at Love Song Karaoke, make wellness crafts, play games, grab snacks, and take home a free family portrait. We’ve even got a free shuttle from Anacostia Metro (parking garage side). See you there!

Super Friends Saturday
Join us this Saturday, 2/22, from 12 PM to 3 PM at the Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion for an afternoon filled with love, laughter, and community vibes! It might be chilly, but the love will be warm, and the sun will be shining—perfect for a day of joy, connection, and making good memories. ❤️

Super Friends Saturday
Join us for ‘Super Friends Saturday” our first even of the year! We will be at the Skate Pavilion offering free skate rentals, music, make and take activities, tea, and hot coco to set the year off right. Layer up and meet us there.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Community Tree Care
Join Casey Trees and FoAP during Martin Luther King Jr. weekend for a fun day of service around the Anacostia Skate Park!
Projects include care for newly planted trees alongside other organizations who will be conducting various clean up and service activities around the park. Your help with weeding, mulching and watering these vulnerable trees will give them a leg up in becoming an important part of our growing tree canopy.
Work will be completed in groups after a short, hands-on training. All the necessary tools and supplies are provided.

Residency: Environmental Justice and Dance Along the Anacostia
FoAP is excited to be offering free dance lessons with our newest in Park Resident Kittie Mae Morris. Join us for 45-minute dance lessons open to all skill levels. Dance styles will include contemporary and ballet. The meeting point is the black top by the basketball courts. Pre-registration is not required.
